What is the exact location of the event? The Central Park Music Series is located in beautiful Central Park, 50 East 5th Avenue, off of El Camino in Downtown San Mateo. The stage will be on the inner central lawn (next to flagpole) close to the 5th Avenue entrance.

Where can we grab food?

You can grab some great food from the event’s food booths that offer a variety of food, from pizza, burgers, hotdogs, Baby Back ribs, pasta, desserts, coffee, and other delicious snacks.

Where can I park? There is a small underground parking garage in Central Park, on 5th Ave., off of El Camino. We also have many Downtown parking garages. There is also street parking available; all parking in Downtown is free after 6 PM!

Can I bring a chair to the event? Yes. We encourage you to bring a low-back chair or blanket.

Is this event appropriate for all ages? Absolutely. It’s a fun and appropriate event for the entire family.

Will there be a dance floor? Yes. Plan to be out of your seat and on the dance floor enjoying lively music.

The Most Fun You Will have as a Volunteer!

Who said you can’t volunteer and dance all at the same time?

Every Thursday Evening from 6-8pm, June 23rd to August 11th

More than 1,500 people come together in San Mateo’s beautiful Central Park to enjoy free live music.

You can help support free live music in San Mateo while having a good time by:

• Late May, Early June: Hitting the streets of San Mateo with some guerilla marketing to the community is vital. We need you to hand out flyers and posters in areas like Downtown. This should only take an afternoon of your time.

• Pre Event, 4:30-6pm: Preparing for an event can be a lot of work and having a few people who don’t mind a fast pace can be a huge help. You will be doing everything from working with the bands, ensuring sound check happens, and making sure the food vendors are all lined up and ready to serve.

• During Event, 6-8pm: Dance, socialize, listen to great music, serve our VIP section, sell raffle tickets, collect donations, and help hand out raffle prizes. Again, this is important and fun work for a willing volunteer.

Description	The Central Park Music Series offers free live music on Thursday nights in the summer at the park from 6pm to 8pm starting in June and ending in August. This event is for all ages and is perfect for socializing with friends, dancing the night away, enjoying great food or just getting the family out for good time for less than a dime.
